Sounds and letters – Production of basic sounds in given words correctly e.g. /a/ /b/ /d/

Speech Work – Matching objects according to colours and shapes

Structure – Asking about the number of object with the question form

Vocabulary – New words

Reading – Introduction to basic reading

Writing – Making strokes and curves to form more letters as covered in the previous lesson

 

 

 

 

Week 2

Phonological Awareness – Pronunciation of u, v, w, words

Structure – Animal sounds

Vocabulary – New words

Reading – The sounds that i hear

Writing – Making strokes and curves to form more letters

 

 

 

 

Week 3

Speech Work – Expressing gratitude and farewell

Simple greetings and commands – Differences between tones in greetings and commands

Vocabulary – New words 

Reading – Songs on habitual actions

Structure – Habitual actions in simple present tense

Writing – Writing words that begin with letters u; v; w;

 

 

 

 

Week 4

Identification – Identify self , family members father mother brother sisters etc.

Speech Work – Pronunciation practice eg  /o/ and /t/

Structure – Continuous actions

Week 5

Speech Work –Pronunciation practice e.g. Th’ i i.e. /t/as ‘thank’/ ‘tank

Expressing Possession: Using the possessives my, yours his hers. simple correct sentences- This Is my pen; This is his/her pen

Reading – Days of the week

Week 6

Speech Work – A. B. C. Song.

Expressing gratitude and farewell: When we receive gift etc.

Reading: Familiar parts of the body

Structure: Word formation (filling the missing letters)

Writing: Formation of letters of the alphabets (cont.).

 

 

Week 7

Speech work: matching letters of the alphabet with pictures

Asking and answering questions: Ask simple question using ‘what.

Structure: Expressing past actions
