Content :

The early men are wanderers that moved from one place to another in search of food and shelters. They mostly wore animal skins and ate most of their food raw. It was either they were running after animals or animals were running after them . The early men ate fruits and they discovered that the seeds of these fruits later germinated . They started gathering seeds of fruits and rearing of animals . The first animal to be domesticated was goat . That was how farming started and kept on improving until the present day of farming and agricultural process in Nigeria  .

 

Types of farming activities that are mostly practised in Nigeria are Mixed farming , subsistence farming, , fish farming , poultry ,nomadic herding, commercial plantation, livestock rearing, etc. Farming involves rearing animals and growing crops for raw materials and food .

Step 1:

The class teacher revises the previous topics

 

Step 2.

He introduces the new topic

 

Step 3:

The class teacher allows the pupils to give their own examples and he corrects them when the needs arise

 

 

Conclusion

The class teacher wraps up or conclude the lesson by giving out short note to summarize the topic that he or she has just taught.

The class teacher also goes round to make sure that the notes are well copied or well written by the pupils.

He or she does the necessary corrections when and where  the needs arise.

  • what was the first animal to be domesticated ?
  • Why did early men eat their food raw ?
  • Write out four different types of farming activities .
