A composition on the topic : Myself written by Emily, a grade 5 pupil of Edu Delight International school, Lagos

My name is Emily and I am 10 years old. I have a small family, just my mom, dad, and younger brother. My mom is a doctor and my dad is a teacher. I have a lot of friends at school and we like to play sports and have sleepovers on the weekends.

I have a few hobbies that I really enjoy. I love to read, especially books about magic and adventure. I also love to dance and I take ballet lessons every week. My other interests include art and music. I play the piano and I like to draw and paint in my free time.

In school, my favorite subjects are science and English. I love learning about how the world works and I enjoy reading and writing stories. My goals for the future include becoming a scientist or a writer. I believe that I have a lot of strengths, including being curious, determined, and a good problem solver.

I do have some challenges too, like being shy in new situations and getting frustrated when I don’t understand something right away. But I am working on these things and I am getting better at overcoming them.

Overall, I would say that I am a friendly and creative person. I am proud of my accomplishments so far, like getting an award for my science project last year and performing a solo dance in the school talent show. I am excited to see what the future holds for me and to continue learning and growing as a person.

Tips on how to develop confidence on writing a composition on MYSELF or any other topics and how to speak confidently about the topic

Here are five tips for developing the ability to speak confidently about the topic of writing a composition on oneself:

  1. Practice writing about yourself: The more you practice writing about yourself, the more comfortable you will become with discussing your own thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
  2. Know your audience: It’s important to consider who you will be speaking to and tailor your message accordingly. This can help you feel more confident and better able to connect with your audience.
  3. Prepare and organize your thoughts: Take some time to think about what you want to say and how you want to say it. This will help you feel more confident and in control when you start speaking.
  4. Use examples to illustrate your points: Personal anecdotes and examples can help make your message more relatable and engaging for your audience.
  5. Believe in yourself: Confidence comes from within, so it’s important to believe in yourself and your ability to speak about yourself effectively. This can help you feel more comfortable and self-assured when you start speaking.

Composition on my family

My family is made up of my parents, my younger sister, and me. My parents both work as teachers and they are very kind and supportive. My sister and I are very close, even though we sometimes argue like all siblings do. We also have a large extended family with lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins who we see at family gatherings.

Our home is a cozy two-story house in the suburbs. We have a big backyard with a swing set and a trampoline that we love to play on. Our family has a lot of traditions that we enjoy, like having a big family dinner on Sunday nights and going on a vacation together every summer. We also have a lot of fun celebrating holidays like Christmas and Easter with special meals and activities.

In our family, we have a few routines that help us stay organized and on track. For example, we all help with household chores and have set times for doing homework and going to bed. We also have a couple of pets, a dog named Max and a cat named Luna. They are always there to cheer us up when we’re feeling down.

Being part of a family means having responsibilities and helping out where we can. My sister and I are expected to do our fair share of chores and to be respectful and considerate of others. But we also know that our family will always be there to support and encourage us no matter what. I am grateful to be part of such a loving and close-knit family.

Keywords that can be used to help write a composition on MY environment

  • neighborhood
  • community
  • city
  • country
  • natural surroundings
  • weather
  • pollution
  • conservation
  • recycling
  • sustainability

I live in a small neighborhood on the outskirts of a large city. Our community is made up of a mix of houses, apartments, and condos, and there is a park and a community center within walking distance. I love exploring my neighborhood and discovering all the different plants and animals that live here.

My city is known for its beautiful beaches, sunny weather, and diverse culture. There are always lots of things to do and see, from visiting the art museum to trying new restaurants to watching a sports game. I also enjoy getting out of the city and exploring the natural surroundings of my country. There are mountains and forests nearby where I can go hiking and camping with my family and friends.

One issue that I am concerned about in my environment is pollution. I have noticed more and more trash on the streets and in the waterways, and I worry about the impact this is having on the environment and the animals that live here. To help address this issue, I try to reduce my own waste by using reusable bags and water bottles and by recycling whenever possible.

I also believe it’s important to be mindful of our natural surroundings and to work towards sustainability. I try to conserve resources by turning off the lights when I leave a room and by taking shorter showers. I also participate in community conservation efforts, like beach cleanups and tree planting events. I believe that by working together, we can make a positive impact on our environment and create a better world for future generations.
