Blood vessels carry blood to and fro all the parts of our body.

The blood vessels are

1. The Arteries : There are two types of arteries in our body.

The Pulmonary Artery takes blood to the lungs for oxygenation

The Aorta takes oxygenated blood from the heart to other parts of the body

2. The Veins The veins are situated on the surface of most organs and are a times visible under our skins. The veins return blood to the heart.

 

3. The Capillaries The capillaries are small types of blood vessels that connect arteries to veins in the tissues
