SECURITY PRECAUTION AT HOME – FIRE OUTBREAK

LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION
Teacher’s Activities – Invite guest speakers to talk on personal Security,

3. On the roads (LASMA or Neighbourhood personnel among parents)

Personal security is an extra caution taken to ensure your personal safety at all time.

PERSONAL SECURITY TIPS AT HOME

1. Do not open the door for strangers.
2. Do not play with fire.
3. Do not eat contaminated food.
4. Stay away from electrical gadgets.
7. Call for help during emergency.
8. Obey your parents instructions.
9. Know your parent’s contact number.
10. Do not answer stranger call, etc.

 

LESSON 2 –

PERSONAL SECURITY TIPS IN THE SCHOOL AND ON THE ROADS
1. Know your parent’s contact number.
2. Obey the school’s safety rules.
3. Follow the teacher’s safety instructions.
4. Go home straight after school.
5. Do not go home before closing time.
6. Play on the school’s playground.
7. Know your parent’s contact number.
8. Do not give strangers your parent’s contact number, etc.

 

PERSONAL SECURITY TIPS ON THE ROAD
1. Do not answer strangers.
2. Do not accept gift from strangers.
3. Do not play on highway or busy roads.
4. Make use of pedestrian bridge to cross to other side of the road.
5. Make use of zebra crossing.
6. Always walk on the pavement or footpath if there is one.
7. Walk facing oncoming traffic.
8. Know your parent’s contact number.
9. Do not give strangers your parent’s contact number, etc.

REVISION AND WEEKLY ASSESSMENT (TEST)

 

PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
2. Teacher organizes pupils in groups or pairs depending on the size of the class and available instructional materials.
3. Teacher displays chart showing zebra crossing, pedestrian bridge, etc.
4. Teacher lets pupils identify and describe.
Pupil’s Activities – Learners identify and analyze the importance of zebra crossing and pedestrian bridge.
5. Teacher uses the chart and pupil’s relevant responses to introduce the lesson.

Fire outbreak is one of the source of dangers and insecurity.

MEANING OF FIRE OUTBREAK
Fire outbreak is a sudden increase of fire.
If fire outbreak is not properly control, it can destroy life and prosperity.

 

CAUSES OF FIRE OUTBREAK
1. Careless use of candle.
2. Bad house wiring.
3. The use of wrong or fake house equipment.
4. Faulty home appliances.
5. Careless use of gas cooker and container.
6. Falling while cooking.
7. Fire accidents.
8. Explosion of gas cylinder or tanker.
9. Use of cell phones at the filling or gas station.
10. Smoking, etc.

 

LESSON 2 – HOW TO PREVENT FIRE OUTBREAK?
1. Do not play with fire.
2. Do not smoke.
3. Good electrical wiring.
4. Repair faulty electrical appliances.
5. Buy good home and electrical appliances.
6. Connect gas cooker and cylinder properly.
7. Make use of original cylinder.
8. Do not use cell phone at the filling or gas station.
9. Don’t play in the kitchen.
