What are application forms ?

An application form is a document or set of forms that an individual is required to fill out in order to apply for a job, a scholarship, a loan, or other type of opportunity. It typically asks for personal and contact information, educational and work history, and may also include questions about skills, abilities, and other qualifications. The purpose of an application form is to provide the organization with the information they need to determine whether the individual is a good fit for the position or opportunity. Some application forms may be completed online, while others may need to be printed out and completed by hand.

 

What is a job application form 

A job application form is a document or set of forms that an individual is required to fill out when applying for a job. It typically asks for personal and contact information, educational and work history, and may also include questions about the individual’s skills, abilities, and other qualifications. The purpose of a job application form is to provide the employer with the information they need to determine whether the applicant is a good fit for the job. A job application form may be completed online or printed out and completed by hand, and it may be part of the job application process along with a resume and cover letter.

 

National Common Entrance Examination Form 

The National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) is a standardized test administered in Nigeria to determine which secondary schools students will attend. The NCEE is taken by students who are seeking admission into Federal Government Colleges and Unity Colleges.

The NCEE application form is a document that students must fill out in order to apply for the examination. The form typically asks for personal and contact information, as well as information about the student’s educational history. It may also include questions about the student’s academic abilities and other qualifications. In order to complete the NCEE application form, students will need to provide proof of identity, proof of residence, and other supporting documents. The completed form, along with the required documents and fees, must be submitted to the appropriate authorities in order to be considered for the NCEE.

Here are some features that may be included on the National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) form:

  5. The choice of secondary school : The form contains a column for pupils to pick their secondary school of choice
  6. Present school: The form may require pupils to fill in the name of their present school, present class and the name of the headteacher of their present school
  7. Examination Centre or Venue : The form may require the pupils to to be school their examination centre that is very close to to their place of residence
  8. Bio-data : The form may require the student to upload some personal information bio-data such as the surname of the candidate, other names, date of birth, place of birth, and personal passport sized photograph

 

 

Here are some purposes for filling out an application form:

  1. To apply for a job: An application form is often used as part of the job application process to provide employers with information about a candidate’s education, work experience, and other qualifications.
  2. To apply for a scholarship: Students may be required to fill out an application form in order to apply for a scholarship or other type of financial aid.
  3. To apply for a loan: An application form is often used by banks and other lending institutions to gather information about a borrower’s financial history and creditworthiness.
  4. To apply for admission: Students may be required to fill out an application form in order to apply for admission to a school, college, or university.
  5. To apply for a license or permit: An application form may be required in order to obtain a professional license or permit, such as a driver’s license or a business permit.
  6. To apply for a membership or subscription: Some organizations may require an application form in order to become a member or subscriber.
  7. To apply for a grant or funding: Nonprofit organizations and other groups may be required to fill out an application form in order to apply for a grant or other funding.

 

Presentation

The lesson presentation is done step by step. The class teacher or subject teacher does the following

Warm-Up:

  • Ask students to share any experiences they have had filling out an application form.
  • Ask students what they think the purpose of an application form is.

Direct Instruction:

  • Introduce the topic of the lesson: “What are the purposes of filling an application form?”
  • Define the term “application form” as a document or set of forms that an individual is required to fill out in order to apply for a job, a scholarship, a loan, or other type of opportunity.
  • Explain that the purpose of an application form is to provide the organization with the information they need to determine whether the individual is a good fit for the position or opportunity.
  • Distribute the handouts with examples of different types of application forms and ask students to identify the purpose of each form.
  • Ask students to think about any other
  • types of application forms they may have encountered or heard about.

Guided Practice:

  • Have students work in pairs to brainstorm a list of as many different types of application forms as they can think of.
  • Ask pairs to share their lists with the class and add any new types of application forms to the master list.

Independent Practice:

  • Have students choose one of the types of application forms from the master list and create a short paragraph explaining the purpose of that form.
  • Encourage students to think about the types of information that might be requested on that form and why it is important for the organization to gather that information.

Closure:

  • Review the main points of the lesson with the class and have students share their paragraphs about the different types of application forms.
  • Ask students to think about a time they have had to fill out an application form and what they learned from the experience.
  • Ask students to share any final thoughts or questions they have about the topic.
