What are living things ?

Living things are things that have lives in them . they are alive and living and inevitable die at the end of their life span .

 

What are the features of characteristics of living things  

  •  Nutrition which is the ability to feed in order to maintain and sustain life ,
  • Respiration which is the ability of living things to exchange gasses maybe oxygen or carbon dioxide
  • Growth which is the ability of living things to increase in size or weight ,
  • Excretion which ids the ability of living things to pass out waste products so that it may not become toxic to the living thing system ,
  • Movement which is the ability of living things to move from one place to another or towards water supply or sunlight ,
  • Reproduction which is the ability if living things to bring forth young ones or seeds that look alike like the parent living things
  • Irritability which is the ability of living things to respond to both internal and external stimulus or feelings  .
  • Death which is the inevitable end of all living things and transformation of living things to non living things

 

 

 

Are Plants Living Things ?

  • Yes , Plants are living things because their roots move towards water supply in the soil and their shoots move towards the direction of sunlight  
  • Plants are living things because they can be killed and die off or withered off 
  • Plants are living things because their feed on food that they manufacture . The process in which green plants manufacture their own food in the presence of sunlight is known as PHOTOSYNTHESIS 
  • Plants are living things because they produce young ones through seeds or flower formation. Some reproduce through vegetative propagation

The class teacher revises the previous topics

He introduces the new topic

 

Step 3:

The class teacher allows the pupils to give their own examples and he corrects them when the needs arise

 

 

Conclusion

The class teacher wraps up or conclude the lesson by giving out short note to summarize the topic that he or she has just taught.

The class teacher also goes round to make sure that the notes are well copied or well written by the pupils.

He or she does the necessary corrections when and where  the needs arise.
