Content

Capacity is the amount of liquid a container can hold.

 

L = litre

ml = millilitre

 

Examples:

Add 5 Litres and 1 Litre.

5 L + 1 L = 6 L

Example 2

40 ml + 30 ml = 70 ml

 

Examples: 3

Subtract 15 Litre from 20 Litre

 

20 L – 15 L = 5 L

 

Example 4

150ml – 130ml = 20ml

 

Note that: when you are subtracting, the bigger number must always be in the front while the smaller number is at the back. OR

 

Bigger number at the top while smaller number at the bottom.

 

Set Work
