COMPUTER SYSTEM

A computer system is an electronic device that can accept data, process it and turn it into useful information for man’s use like decision making. It is also a  group of different devices that work together with the help of stored programs to accept process, store and retrieve information.

Different parts of computer system that can be seen or touched  are called HARDWARE while the stored programs or written instructions that enables the computer system to function better are called SOFTWARE.

The hardware of a computer system are explained below.

INPUT DEVICES

Examples of input devices are: keyboard, Mouse, Joystick, Light pen, Scanner etc. All these are used to send messages, data or information  in form of data and instructions into the computer. The most common of these are keyboard and mouse.
