Content :

MY BONES, MUSCLES AND JOINTS

This topic will help the kids to understand the internal mechanism of their body and how the bones, muscles and joints work together in their body to achieve movement, balance and support.

They will learn that the bones are hard, the muscles are soft and the joints are places where two bones meet.

ABOUT MY BODY

 

Tell me about your body

My body is made up of bones, muscles and

They all work together for me to move about.

 

My head My shoulder My knees My toes

They all belong to Jesus

The muscles are the fleshy parts of the body . The muscles enables us to feel and work

The skeleton is the bony framework of the body . The bones give the body its shape . The bones support the delicate organs of the body .

A place where two or more bones meet is called a joint . Joints enable movement . We are able to move because of the joints in our bodies

Presentation

The topic is presented step by step

 

Step 1:

The class teacher revises the previous topics

 

Step 2.

He introduces the new topic

 

Step 3:

The class teacher allows the pupils to give their own examples and he corrects them when the needs arise

 

Evaluation :

  1. What do we use our muscles for ?
  2. What do we use our joints for ?
  3. What is skeleton ?

 

Conclusion :

 

The class teacher wraps up or conclude the lesson by giving out short note to summarize the topic that he or she has just taught.

The class teacher also goes round to make sure that the notes are well copied or well written by the pupils.

He or she does the necessary corrections when and where  the needs arise.
