Lagos State Commences Registration Of Primary 6 Pupils For CASS 2021 Placement Examination

LAGOS EXAMS BOARD COMMENCES REGISTRATION FOR YEAR 2021 UNIVERSAL BASIC EDUCATION TESTS

The Lagos State Examinations Board has commenced the registration for the Year 2021 Universal Basic Education by Continuous Assessment Scores (UBE by CAS) and Placement Test.

The purpose of this examination is to prepare and place pupils into state owned secondary schools for the next academic year.

This opportunity also enables pupils to obtain The First School Leaving Primary School Certificate which is issued by Lagos state government through the Lagos State Examination Board.

A statement signed by the Director of the Examinations Board, Mr. Supo Gbadegesin, informed that the registration commenced from Monday, 15th February, 2021 and ends on Friday, 21st May, 2021, stating that the public and approved private primary schools are to generate their pupils’ examination slips during online registration while the documents will serve as admission papers into Test Venues on examination day.

The Director stated that all approved private primary schools are to pay #5,000 per head for the registration PIN to enable log-in and upload of candidates’ bio-data and passport photographs on the Board’s Portal, noting that late registration will attract a penalty of #2,500 per candidate.

He noted that “In line with the State Government policy, all payments to the Examinations Board must be through Central Billing Systems for all Examinations conducted by the Board”.

While clarifying the category of students eligible for registration, Gbadegesin advised all proprietors to register only primary six pupils who will participate in UBE by CAS and urged to report at the Desk of Liaison Officers in charge of their Zone at the Board for payment details.

“A copy of the Bank Teller showing payment should be returned to Account’s Department of the Board for the collection of an Official Receipt”, Gbadegesin said.
