BEHAVIOURAL OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to make patterns using different shapes

CONTENT:
DESIGNING PATTERNS OF BASIC SHAPES

A pattern is simply a design of something. Patterns can be found on our dresses, bags, shoes, caps etc.
Here, we will be using basic shapes to make patterns.
Look at these patterns below

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIAL: Diagrams of basic shapes, pencil, colours pencil, eraser, drawing books

EVALUATION: Pupils are evaluated thus:
Make simple patterns using basic shapes

TOPIC: Paper craft making and Decoration I

BEHAVIOURAL OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
1. identify crafts made from paper
2. state uses of paper craft

CONTENT:
PAPER CRAFT MAKING AND DECORATION

Paper crafts are decorative designs made from paper. They are often used for decoration of homes, schools, event centres etc. They reduce the expenses of colours and paints as they come in different colours.
The following are examples of paper craft work:

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIAL: Paper, paper gum, glue, threads, pencils, scissors, razor blade etc.

1. design basic shapes of paper crafts
2. make paper crafts

CONTENT:
PAPER CRAFT MAKING AND DECORATION
Make a dog face paper craft
INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIAL: Paper, paper gum, glue, threads, pencils, scissors, razor blade etc.

EVALUATION: Pupils are evaluated thus:
Produce a paper craft item
WEEK: 7 & 8
CLASS: Basic Two
SUBJECT: Cultural and creative Arts
TOPIC: Pattern Making Using Motifs and Colours

BEHAVIOURAL OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
1. create simple motifs
2. make patterns using motifs.

3. apply colour to patterns.

CONTENT:

PATTERN MAKING USING MOTIFS AND COLOURS
A motif is a repetition of pattern to form a design. Motifs can be found on our school uniforms, dresses, bags, sweater etc.
The following are examples of motifs:

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIAL: Diagrams of different types of motifs, pencils, colours, erasers, drawing books.

EVALUATION: Pupils are evaluated thus:
Draw a simple motifs on a plain paper
WEEK: 9 & 10
CLASS: Basic Two
SUBJECT: Cultural and creative Arts
TOPIC: Traditional songs / Folktales
BEHAVIOURAL OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
1. identify the folk songs in their languages
2. performs a local/traditional song in unison (i.e are part singing)
3. say the uses and function of Nigerian traditional music.

Pupils sing along with teacher/ audio player while song is playing
