Tortoise, Elephant, Rabbit, and Antelope were friends. They played together every day. One day, Tortoise told a lie. He said he found a big, shiny fruit. But the fruit was really Rabbit’s.

Rabbit was sad. He looked for his fruit everywhere. Elephant saw Tortoise with the fruit. He told Rabbit. Rabbit asked Tortoise about the fruit. Tortoise was scared. He did not want to tell the truth.

Elephant and Antelope told Tortoise it is bad to lie. They said friends must tell the truth. Tortoise felt sorry. He told Rabbit the truth. Rabbit was happy to get his fruit back. Tortoise learned it is bad to tell lies. He promised to always tell the truth.
