Definition of a Verb

A verb is a word that expresses an action or a state of being.

Examples:

  • She runs every morning.
  • They are happy.

Types of Verbs

1. Regular Verbs

Regular verbs are verbs that form their past tense and past participle by adding -ed or -d to the base form.

2. Irregular Verbs
