CARE OF THE EAR
10 Ways to Care For Your Ears in Grade 2
1. Wear appropriate protective headgear, such as helmets and ear guards, when engaging in physical activities.
2. When cleaning the outer ear area use a soft cloth and only a few drops of warm water — never insert objects into your ears.
3. Avoid excessive moisture build-up inside the ear canal.
4. Pay attention to any discomfort or pain in the outer ear area and consult a doctor if necessary.
5. Don’t turn up the volume on devices too loud; instead use noise-canceling headphones at a reasonable level of sound.
6. Keep an eye out for signs of infection, such as irritation or discharge from the ears, and seek medical advice if needed.
7. Refrain from using cotton swabs or hairpins as these can damage the delicate tissue of the inner ear canal when inserted too deep into it.
8. Stay aware of any potentially hazardous substances that could affect your hearing health, like chemicals and loud noises around you at all times .
9. Monitor yourself for signs of hearing loss and see a doctor if anything is noticed that seems abnormal or off about your hearing levels
10.. Educate yourself about proper hearing safety so you know how to protect your ears now and in the future!
Uses of the ears
- Hearing: The primary function of the ears is to allow us to hear. Sound waves enter the ear and are converted into electrical signals that are sent to the brain, which interprets them as sound.
- Balance: The ears also help to maintain balance by detecting changes in body position and movement. This is done through the vestibular system, which is made up of structures in the inner ear that sense movement and gravity.
- Temperature regulation: The ears can also help to regulate body temperature. When it is hot, blood vessels in the ear dilate, allowing heat to be released from the body. In cold temperatures, the blood vessels constrict, helping to retain heat.
- Communication: The ears can also be used for communication, such as through nonverbal cues like nodding or tilting the head.
- Aesthetics: The ears can also be a source of aesthetics and self-expression, as they can be decorated with earrings or other forms of jewelry.
- Medical purposes: The ears can also be used for medical purposes, such as taking a person’s pulse by feeling the blood flow in the carotid artery located in the neck just below the ear, or taking a person’s temperature by using an ear thermometer.
Presentation
The topic is presented step by step
Step 1:
The class teacher revises the previous topics
Step 2.
He introduces the new topic.
Step 3:
The class teacher allows the pupils to give their own examples and he corrects them when the needs arise. The class teacher makes the pupils to know the reasons for person security

Conclusion
The class teacher wraps up or concludes the lesson by giving out short notes to summarize the topic that he or she has just taught.
The class teacher also goes round to make sure that the notes are well copied or well written by the pupils.
He or she does the necessary corrections when and where the needs arise.
