Writing – Making strokes and curves to form more letters as covered in the previous lesson

Making of strokes enable the pupils to make marks on the books. These marks are made when a pen or pencil is move or drag on a piece of paper to make impression or mark. The strokes may be vertical or horizontal lines and most importantly particularly when writing letters of the alphabets.

Strokes may be curved or bent like when writing letter b or c particularly writing a b and a d. A b is a stick letter – a stick followed by a closed hump. The mnemonic is b = bat and ball.

Letter formation is the ability to form letters of the alphabet correctly that conform to a cultural standard e.g. as taught in a particular school,

Step 1 : The class teacher revises the old topic
