Speech Work – Expressing gratitude and farewell

We say thank you to express gratitude when someone has done something good for us. When we say thank you, it means that we appreciate the gift that has been given to us freely without paying a dime. When our parents have just paid our school fees, we say thank you to show gratitude. When we are through at the table with our meal, we say thank you to our parents. We can also say thank you to our friends in our class whenever they help us with our classwork.

When we are leaving home in the morning for school, we say Goodbye to our parents.

When lessons are over in school and we are about to go home, we say goodbye to our teachers and friends in school.

When holiday is coming, we say goodbye to our teachers and friends in schools and we go home to enjoy our holidays with our friends and relatives at home.
