Why study Civic education
Civic education is necessary for the following reasons:
- It helps us to know and understand our responsibility as a good citizen of a country.
- It helps us to participate in various groups and organization
- It helps to understand how to vote and be voted for.
- It helps us to understand the country’s rules and regulations.
- It helps us to understand the school rules and regulations.
👩🏫 Welcome, little ones! Today, we’re going to talk about why studying Civic Education is so important. 🌍
First of all, Civic Education helps us to know and understand our responsibilities as good citizens of our country. 🇳🇬 It teaches us about the rights and duties we have as members of our community. Just like we have rules at home, our country also has rules that we need to follow. For example, we must obey traffic rules when crossing the road or wearing a helmet while riding a bicycle. By learning about these responsibilities, we can become responsible citizens who contribute positively to our society. 🤝
Another reason why Civic Education is important is that it helps us to participate in various groups and organizations. 🙋♀️ We learn about teamwork, cooperation, and how to work together to achieve common goals. For instance, we can join clubs in school, such as the environmental club, where we learn how to take care of our environment by planting trees or keeping our surroundings clean. By participating in these groups, we become active members of our community and learn the value of teamwork. 🌱
Civic Education also teaches us about the democratic process, including how to vote and be voted for. 🗳️ In a democracy, citizens have the right to choose their leaders through elections. We learn about the importance of casting our votes and making informed decisions. Imagine we are choosing a class monitor, and we have to listen to their speeches and consider their qualifications before voting for the best candidate. This helps us understand that our voices matter and that we have the power to make a difference through our choices. ✨
Moreover, studying Civic Education helps us to understand the rules and regulations of our country and our school. 📚 We learn about the laws that are in place to maintain peace and order. For example, we learn that stealing is wrong and against the law, or that we should not bully our classmates because it is unfair and can hurt their feelings. By understanding and following these rules, we create a safe and harmonious environment for everyone. 🚸
In summary, studying Civic Education is important because it helps us:
🔹 Understand our responsibilities as good citizens.
🔹 Participate in groups and organizations.
🔹 Learn about voting and being voted for.
🔹 Understand the rules and regulations of our country and school.
So, my little learners, let’s be curious and eager to learn more about Civic Education! 🌟 By understanding our role as responsible citizens, we can contribute to making our community and country a better place for everyone. 🏡💙

Nurture
Nurture means help to grow
Ways to nurture and sustain democracy.
- We can help democracy to grow by improving free and fair election
- By public campaign, that is public announcement
- By justice
- By being truthful and loyal to party members
- By representing the members of the country very well
- By unity and cooperation of the citizen.
👩🏫 Hello, young learners! Today, we’re going to explore the concept of “nurture” and how we can help democracy grow. 🌱
Nurture means to help something or someone grow and develop. In the context of democracy, nurturing refers to the actions and attitudes that support and sustain democratic principles and practices. Let’s explore some ways we can nurture and sustain democracy together! 🌍🌱
1. Improving free and fair elections 🗳️
– One way we can nurture democracy is by working towards improving free and fair elections. In a democracy, elections are the cornerstone of choosing our leaders and representatives. We can ensure fairness by allowing everyone to vote without discrimination or intimidation. Let’s imagine a scenario where everyone in our class gets to vote for the class monitor, and we ensure that everyone has an equal chance to participate and express their choice. This promotes democracy and ensures that the voices of all citizens are heard. 🗳️✨
2. Public campaigns through public announcements 📣
– Public campaigns play a vital role in nurturing democracy. They involve sharing information, discussing ideas, and encouraging people to participate actively in the democratic process. For example, if there is an upcoming student council election, a public announcement may be made to inform everyone about the candidates and their visions. By spreading the word and engaging in open discussions, we can nurture democracy by encouraging citizens to make informed decisions. 📢💬
3. Justice ⚖️
– Justice is a fundamental aspect of a thriving democracy. It means treating everyone fairly, upholding the rule of law, and ensuring equal rights and opportunities for all. In our daily lives, justice can be seen when conflicts are resolved peacefully and when everyone is given a fair chance to express their opinions. Let’s imagine a situation where there is a disagreement about a game during recess. Resolving the conflict by listening to everyone’s perspective and finding a fair solution teaches us about justice and its importance in nurturing democracy. ⚖️🤝
4. Truthfulness and loyalty to party members 💚🤝
– Democracy thrives when there is trust and integrity among its participants. Being truthful means speaking honestly and avoiding deception. Loyalty involves staying committed to the principles and values of our group or party. In a classroom setting, let’s imagine we have a group project. Being truthful and loyal means working honestly and collaboratively with our group members, respecting their ideas, and giving our best effort. This fosters trust and unity, which are essential for nurturing democracy. 💚🤝
5. Effective representation of the members of the country 🙌🌍
– Nurturing democracy requires elected representatives who truly represent the interests and needs of the people. When our leaders listen to the concerns of the citizens and make decisions that benefit everyone, democracy thrives. For example, a responsible class monitor is someone who actively listens to their classmates, communicates their ideas, and takes actions that reflect the collective needs and wishes of the class. This helps us understand the importance of effective representation in nurturing democracy. 🙌🌍
6. Unity and cooperation among citizens 🤝🌟
– Unity and cooperation are like superpowers for democracy. When citizens come together, respect one another, and work towards common goals, democracy flourishes. In our class, imagine we organize a charity event where we all contribute our efforts, ideas, and resources to help those in need. This sense of unity and cooperation showcases how we can nurture democracy by working together harmoniously. 🤝🌟
By embracing these actions and attitudes, we can actively contribute to the growth and sustainability of democracy. Just like a plant needs care and attention to grow, democracy thrives when we nurture it with our active participation, respect, fairness, and cooperation. Let’s be nurturing citizens and foster a democratic spirit in our community! 🌱🌟
