Partnering with Relevant Security Agencies
Why Partner with Security Agencies?
- Safety: Security agencies like LASTMA (Lagos State Traffic Management Authority), FRSC (Federal Road Safety Corps), Police, and Army help ensure our safety on the roads and in our communities.
- Traffic Management: LASTMA and FRSC manage traffic to prevent accidents. For example, they regulate traffic lights and ensure vehicles follow rules.
- Law Enforcement: The Police and Army are responsible for enforcing laws and maintaining peace. They help catch criminals and ensure we are safe.
How to Partner with Security Agencies:
- Report Issues: If you see a traffic problem, like a blocked road, report it to LASTMA or FRSC. They will come to manage it.
- Example: If you spot a car parked where it shouldn’t be, tell LASTMA, so they can clear the road.
- Contact the Police: If you see a suspicious person or activity, call the Police. They will investigate and take action.
- Example: If you notice someone trying to break into a neighbor’s house, call the Police immediately.
- Respect Rules: Follow traffic rules and obey the law. This reduces the need for security agencies’ intervention.
- Example: Always use a seatbelt in the car to avoid being stopped by FRSC.
- Attend Road Safety Programs: Learn from FRSC about road safety through programs they offer in schools and communities.
- Example: You can join an awareness program by FRSC to learn about safe road practices.
- Support the Army: Respect the Army’s role in keeping our country safe. Encourage their efforts.
- Example: When you see soldiers at a checkpoint, cooperate with them for security.
