Comprehension Passage

Read the comprehension passage and answer the questions that follow

The Tortoise and The Hare

Once upon a time, there was a tortoise and a hare. The hare was very proud of his speed, and he liked to brag about it to all the other animals in the forest. One day, the hare challenged the tortoise to a race. The tortoise was a bit slow, but he accepted the challenge.

On the day of the race, the hare raced ahead, leaving the tortoise far behind. The hare was so confident in his speed that he decided to take a nap under a tree. He thought he had plenty of time to finish the race.

Meanwhile, the tortoise was still moving slowly and steadily towards the finish line. He never stopped or slowed down, even when he saw that the hare was asleep. Eventually, the tortoise passed the sleeping hare and reached the finish line first. The hare woke up from his nap to find that he had lost the race.

The moral of the story is that slow and steady wins the race. This means that it’s better to work consistently towards your goals rather than rushing and being careless. The tortoise’s steady progress and determination helped him win the race in the end, even though the hare was faster.

In life, we should be patient and persistent. If we work hard and stay focused, we can achieve our goals, just like the tortoise did in the race. Remember, it’s not always the fastest person who wins, but the person who keeps going and never gives up
