Definition of democracy

What is Democracy?

Democracy is defined as the government of the people, for the people and by the people.

It is a form of government that is based on the choice of the majority through periodic elections.

In democracy supreme power is vested in the people and exercise directed by them or their elected agents who may be the elected Governors, president and Local Government, council Councillors, Chairman under free and fair election.

 

What Are The Benefits Of Democracy 

  1. It is a government of the people by the people and for the people
  2. It gives the people the opportunity to rule themselves by selecting their representatives through election
  3. There is freedom of speech as people can discuss about government policies through public comments and opinions
  4. There is freedom of associations people are free to talk to who so ever they want to talk with .
  5. People are free to join any political party that they want .
  6. There is freedom of the press .

The class teacher revises the previous topics

He introduces the new topic

 

Step 3:

The class teacher allows the pupils to give their own examples and he corrects them when the needs arise

 

 

Conclusion

The class teacher wraps up or conclude the lesson by giving out short note to summarize the topic that he or she has just taught.

The class teacher also goes round to make sure that the notes are well copied or well written by the pupils.

He or she does the necessary corrections when and where  the needs arise.
