Government properties are properties that are social amenities that are provided by government for its citizens to make life better and easier for them.

The people who are the masses are the owners of these government properties because government ues the masses money (taxes, fines or levies) to provide these social amenities and infrastructure that we call government properties.
Why we must show respect and care for government properties or social amenities
How to respect the Government properties
- Do not liter the road with refuges , instead drop your refuse in a public bin
- Do not write with chalk or charcoal or make any scratch on the wall or government vehicles, Bill board, tank, poster e.t.c
- Do not forget to turn off the public tap after use
- If you see a running tap, turn it off to avoid wastage.
- Do not break or destroy any government properties
- Do not steal any government property and convert them into your own personal use
- When you someone destroying or stealing the government properties, call the police.
- Help the government in educating people on how to maintain the public properties
- Come out to perform your obligation during environmental sanitation
- Abide with the rules guiding the public property.
- Do not burn government properties. Just like the recent #Endsars protest where some hoodlums and thugs set fire on some newly bought brand new BRT buses, such act is bad and should be highly condemned.
- When government properties are destroyed, it is the masses that will suffer the consequences of the damage because it is the masses that are the government.
