  4. How many children did Okanbi have? Ans. Okanbi had seven (7) children.

Ans. It begun with Oduduwa and his men who fled from Mecca.

Topic:- The Story of Akintoye

    1. Akintoye was the youngest son of Ologunkutere.
    2. Akintoye was King of Lagos in 1845.
    3. He sent for Kosoko at Whydah.
    4. Kosoko drove him out of Lagos.
    5. The British Navy made him to regain his throne.
    6. He signed a treaty with the British Government.
    7. In the treaty he said: He will
      1. Use all his power to stop the slave trade.
      2. Help the buying and selling of goods in Lagos.
      3. Try and stop people from doing wrong.
      4. Give help to the church missionaries.

  2. He became King of Lagos in September 1852.
  3. He was a weak King.
  4. He gave Lagos to the British Government in 1861.
  5. The British Consul then ruled Lagos.
  6. Dosunmu was called “Governor”.

  1. Herbert Macaulay was born in 1864.
  2. His grandfather was Bishop Samuel Ajayi Crowther.
  3. His father was the Reverend Thomas Babbington Macaulay.
  4. He learnt how to build bridges, roads and other things.
  5. He fought for the freedom of his country.
  6. He died when he was eighty-two (82) years old.
  7. He died in 1946.
