Identify Rhyming Words with One Syllable.

A syllable is the shortest part or division of a word that contains sounds (phonemes) of words. It is used to indicate or show the smallest unit or division of speech distinguishing one word (or word element) from another. A syllable usually has a vowel in it. A syllable is also known as the beats of words, The class tutors or instructor can make the pupils to know the number of vowels in a word by making use of the beat system or by clapping hands to indicate the number of syllables in a word.

To know if words actually rhyme with each other, we just have to listen very carefully to the sounds that the words make when we say the words. For instance, these are examples of one syllable words that rhyme or sound like

Car rhymes with, bar, far, ear, fear, hear, pear, rear, wear etc.

Mat rhymes bat, cat, fat, hat, pat. rat, sat, etc.

Pan rhymes ban, can, dan, fan, pan, man, van, etc.
