STORY READING FORM SHORT STORY BOOKS
You read a short story to the kids.
Make sure every body is listening while reading the story. Also, make sure they are all having eye contact with you;
Also have eye contacts with them. At the end of the story, ask the kids some simple questions to know who listened actively and who did not.
Read the short passage and answer the questions that follow
Mr Edet is a trader . He likes to sell goods like sugar, milo, bread, custard and semo in his shop.
Yesterday, he milk, Tom Tom, and sardine
QUESTION: Who is Mr Edet ?
RESPONSE: Mr Edet is a trader
QUESTION: What does he sell in his shop?
RESPONSE: He sells bread, milo and semo in his shop?

The topic is presented step by step
Step 1:
The class teacher revises the previous topics
Step 2.
He introduces the new topic
Step 3:
The class teacher allows the pupils to give their own examples and he corrects them when the needs arise

Read a short interesting story to the pupils and ask question at the end of the reading.
Conclusion
The class teacher wraps up or conclude the lesson by giving out short note to summarize the topic that he or she has just taught.
The class teacher also goes round to make sure that the notes are well copied or well written by the pupils.
He or she does the necessary corrections when and where the needs arise.
