These letters are letters written to friends or relations on personal note. The writer can employ any freestyles of writing as there are no laws made in bricks when it comes to writing personal letters.

TYPES OF PERSONAL LETTERS

There are three (3) kinds of personal letters and this includes personal business letter, formal personal letter and personal letter.

  • Personal Business Letter

This kind of letter is written to an unknown person or firm about a personal business matter. The pattern is the same with a business letter, i.e. contains home address, date, name and address of the addressee can be typed in the usual place as is being done in business letters.

  • Formal Personal Letter

This is used when writing to an older person. It is the same layout as in personal business letters. The salutation is formal e.g. Dear Mr. Bello, Dear Eng. Joseph or Dear Miss Janet
