Understanding Boys and Girls

  1. To know if someone is a boy or a girl, we look at their names, clothes, and how they talk and act.
  2. In sentences about boys, we use words like “he,” “him,” or “boy.” Example: He is a boy. The boy is playing.
  3. In sentences about girls, we use words like “she,” “her,” or “girl.” Example: She is a girl. The girl is singing.
  4. It’s important to use the right words for the right gender to talk about boys and girls.

Step 1 – Understanding the Difference (10 minutes)

  • Show pictures of boys and girls.
  • Ask students how they can tell if someone is a boy or a girl.
  • Discuss the differences in clothing, hair, and names.
