ARSON/KIDNAPPING
Arson in a simple sense means intentionally setting fire on a property or something,it has also been described as the crime of intentionally,deliberately and maliciously setting building,farmlands,vehicles or other property on fire with the aim of causing damage,
it is a major threat to national security,
Causes of Arson
hatred against government policy
political disagreement
effort to cover up crimes by destroying useful documents needed for prosecution
may lead to unemployment
Effects of Arson
it retards economic growth
it may claim precious lives
financial loss for businessmen
may cause scarcity of goods
may lead to unemployment
Prevention of Arson
Government properties should be properly secured
offenders should receive stiff punishment
communities should put measure in place to secure government properties in their area
KIDNAPPING
Kidnapping is an act of unlawfully transporting or holding a person in a particular place for the purpose of collecting a ransom for his release.
