Content :  

The Nigerian National Flag :

The Nigerian National flag is the most widely used and recognized national symbols in Nigeria as many people and students alike are seen with the national flag when there is national event like when the Nigerian National football team , The super eagles is having a crucial match or there is an event of national interest like the National independence day celebration . The Nigerian National flag is divided into three major stripes of two major colours which are green , white and green . The Nigerian National flag was designed Pa Michael Taiwo Akinkunmi in 1956 when he was a student in United Kingdom . The green stripe stands for the green fertile land of Nigeria while The white stripe represents peace.

 

The Coat Of Arms : 

The Nigerian coat of arms is also called the armorial bearing.  It is always seen as emblem or logo on the members of the Nigerian Armed Forces like The Army . The Navy and The Air Force .The coat of arms have black shield which stands for the nation’s fertile soil. The two silver bends that looks like Alphabet Y stands for River Benue and River Niger ..The Eagle on the top represents  strength and the two horses stand for dignity.  The motto of the country is unit and faith, peace and progress. .
