Content

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Holy Trinity in Christianity, along with God the Father and Jesus the Son. It is considered to be the spirit of God that is present in all believers and guides them in their lives. The Holy Spirit is also seen as the giver of spiritual gifts, comforter, and helper, who helps people understand the truth about God and empowers them to live a godly life.

 

 

The purpose of the coming of the Holy Spirit.

  1. Empowerment for ministry: The Holy Spirit empowers believers to carry out the mission and work of Jesus in the world, including spreading the gospel and performing miracles.
  2. Indwelling presence: The Holy Spirit takes up residence within the hearts of believers, providing comfort, guidance, and encouragement in their daily lives.
  3. Teaching and enlightenment: The Holy Spirit teaches and guides believers into a deeper understanding of the truth of God and His Word.
  4. Spiritual gifts: The Holy Spirit distributes spiritual gifts to believers, enabling them to use their unique abilities for the benefit of the church and the world.
  5. Sanctification: The Holy Spirit works in the lives of believers, transforming them into the likeness of Jesus and helping them to live a holy and righteous life.
