It is a paramilitary organization which has its statutory backing in 2003 with is act passed by the national assembly in 2003 and signed into law by president Olusegun Obasanjo,

it supports in the maintenance of peace

it is involved in the registration of security guard outfits

it inspects the premises of private guard companies

it organizes training ,workshop,seminar for private guard films

it maintains surveillance over government infrastructure,site and projects for the three tiers of government

it monitors,investigates and take action against any form of terrorists activity,

it evacuates civilians population from danger area

The class teacher also goes round to make sure that the notes are well copied or well written by the pupils.

He or she does the necessary corrections when and where  the needs arise.
