Ans. A mountain is a piece of land raised above its surroundings. It is about 3000ft or 1050m.
- What is a hill?
Ans. A hill is a piece of land raised above its surroundings. It is about 1000ft or 350m.
- What is a plateau?
Ans. A plateau is a highland, which is flat on top.
- What is a Highland?
Ans. A highland is a land raised above the sea level e.g. Bauchi and Adamawa highlands are the main highlands in Nigeria.
- What is a Lowland?
Ans. A lowland is a land without hills.
- What is an Island?
Ans. An island is a piece of land surrounded by water.
- What is a Lake?
Ans. A lake is a piece of water surrounded by land.
