What is an odd number?
An odd number is a number that can be divided by two and the number will have one as the remainder.

1. 13 ➗ 2 is equal to 6 remainder 1
It shows that 13 is an odd number
2. 27 ➗ 2 is equal to 13 remainder 1.
This shows that 27 is an odd number
3. 3 ➗ 2 is equal to 1 remainder 1.
This shows that 3 is an odd number
4. 87 ➗ 2 is equal to 43 remainder 1.
This shows that 87 is an odd number
5. 1 ➗ 2 is equal to 0 remainder 1
This shows that 1 is an odd number
Note that this is how to identify odd numbers.
Any number whose last digit is either 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9 is an odd number.
Examples of such numbers are 43, 57, 87,35, 47,93, etc
What is an even number?
An even number is a number that can be divided by two and the number will have zero as the remainder.

1. 16 ➗ 2 is equal to 6 remainder 0
It shows that 12 is an even number
2. 26 ➗ 2 is equal to 13 remainder 0
This shows that 26 is an even number
3. 2 ➗ 2 is equal to 1 remainder 0
This shows that 2 is an even number
4. 86 ➗ 2 is equal to 43 remainder 0
This shows that 86 is an even number
5. 0 ➗ 2 is equal to 0 remainder 0
This shows that 0 is an even number
