Technology in Transportation
Transportation is the movement of people and goods from one geographical location to another. In the olden days, people trekked while others rode donkeys, camels or horses.
Modern means of transportation by land involves the use of buses, cars, SUVs, bikes, trucks, van or trains to convey people and goods from one location to another.
Disadvantages of old means of transportation by land
1. Old means of transportation were not always safe
2. Travellers were affected by bad weather conditions like sun ☀, rain ☔ or storm.
3. It was always very slow and unreliable
4. It was less enjoyable and comfortable
Benefits of new ways of transportation by land
1. It is faster
2. It is safer
3. It is easier
4..it is more enjoyable and comfortable
Air Transportation : This involves the use of air vehicles like aeroplane, jets, and helicopter or private jet to move people and goods from one geographical location to another.
The fastest and most convenient means of transportation is by air.
The vehicles that are used as means of air transportation are
- Helicopter 🚁
- Aeroplane ✈
- Jets
- Hot air balloons
- Parachutes
- Gliders
Hot balloons are no longer commonly used because we have planes and jets that are faster and safer nowadays.
Parachutes are made of soft cloth materials that makes landing safe and soft without so much harms.
Kids can be involved in parachute games as this :
Teaches kids to follow directions without being distracted
Encourages cooperation and peers, classmates and friends
Reinforces turn-taking, discipline, orderliness and sharing
Works the arms, shoulders, and torso.
Promotes communication and language skills.
Develops a sense of rhythm.
Presentation
The topic is presented step by step
Step 1:
The class teacher revises the previous topics
Step 2.
He introduces the new topic
Step 3:
The class teacher allows the pupils to give their own examples and he corrects them when the needs arise
Conclusion
The class teacher wraps up or conclude the lesson by giving out short note to summarize the topic that he or she has just taught.
The class teacher also goes round to make sure that the notes are well copied or well written by the pupils.
He or she does the necessary corrections when and where the needs arise.
