- say the classes of food
- say the functions of each class of food
- give examples of food that belong to each of these classes of food
Content :
Food nutrients can be grouped into the following:
- Foods that give us energy (carbohydrates): They are rice, corn, bread, cassava
- Foods that build our body (protein): They are beans, milk, egg, fish
- Foods that protect our body from illness(vitamins): They are vegetables and fruits
- Foods that promotes health and develops strong bones and teeth(minerals):They are banana salt etc

The topic is presented step by step
Step 1:
The class teacher revises the previous topics
Step 2.
He introduces the new topic
Step 3:
The class teacher allows the pupils to give their own examples and he corrects them when the needs arise
Evaluation :
1) list four examples of food and their nutrients
Conclusion :
Summary: Teacher goes over the topic once again to enhance better understanding
