Causes of Postural Defects

The following are the causes of postural defects:

(i) Injury sustained from different form of accident

(ii) Diseases such muscular dystrophy or polio

(iii) Congenital abnormalities

(iv) Poor nutrition

(v) Postural habits e.g. walking with one shoulder too high

(vi) Habitual standing with weight on one foot

(vii) Habitual carrying of weight on one side

 

Effects of Poor Posture on the Body

The effects of poor posture on the body are as follows:

(i) Difficulty in breathing

(ii) Impaired blood circulation

(iii) Reduction in muscle tone

(iv) Unattractive appearance

(v) Easily getting fatigue

(vi) Muscle pains or cramps

(vii) Pains in the back ,

(viii) spinal dysfunction,

(ix) joint degeneration,

(x) potbelly.

        

Ways of Maintaining Good Posture

The following are the ways of maintaining good posture:

(i) Regular well planned physical exercise

(ii) Proper body carriage

(iii) Proper walking, standing, and sitting position

(iv) Good diet

(v) Adequate rest and sleep

(vi) Good recreation

(vii) Medical examination

The class teacher revises the previous topics

He introduces the new topic

 

Step 3:

The class teacher allows the pupils to give their own examples and he corrects them when the needs arise

 

 

Conclusion

The class teacher wraps up or conclude the lesson by giving out short note to summarize the topic that he or she has just taught.

The class teacher also goes round to make sure that the notes are well copied or well written by the pupils.

He or she does the necessary corrections when and where  the needs arise.
