What is water ?
Water is liquid. It flows. It is made up of two elements which are oxygen and hydrogen. The human body contains water. The earth contains water.
Domestic Use Of Water
It is used drinking,
Water is used in the preparing food that we eat
We make use of water when we are bathing,
Water is used for washing clothes and dishes,
Water is needed early in the morning when we are brushing our teeth,
Water is used for washing our uniforms and other clothes
We use water to water our plants and flowers in our gardens .
Water is used to wash our parents cars or our school bus
Industrial Use Of Water
Water is used as means of transportation for ships and ocean liners
Water is used to generate electricity
Water is used for irrigation in order to water large plant plantation
Water is a product of trade of trade in some businesses like pure water business
Water is needed in the production of products like body creams or lubricants
Water is needed to produce produce soft drinks by companies that are producing soft drinks
Water is used to produce beverages
Pure Water or Package Water
This term is used to refer to water that has been treated , processed and package for sales and for domestic uses eg for drinking . There are different types of purifying water but the best method is distillation . Other methods of water purification are
By boiling
By filtering
By adding alum
By adding chlorine
By distillation
What are the factors to be considered before buying pure water for drinking
Does the water package have NAFDAC number
Is the manufacturer of the pure water a reputable name in pure water business
Is the water colourless, odourless and tasteless
But can water be really pure ?
