  • Reduction of economic value of the animals
  • Reduction in nutritive value
  • Retarded growth
  • Diarrhea
  • Transmission of disease to human beings.

GENERAL METHODS OF PREVENTION AND CONTROL OF FARM ANIMALS DISEASES.

  • Good sanitation practices
  • Isolation of sick animals
  • Disposal waste materials
  • Immunization/vaccination of animals
  • Remove or kill and burn/burry animals that are infected with disease
  • Disinfection of livestock buildings and equipment.
  • Burning of contaminated feed and other materials
