Methods of Purifying water

Water is a liquid substance which
under Ideal situation is supposed
to colourless,odourless,
tasteless,and transparent I.e
(clean to see through it).it is
needed by all living things.

Methods of Purifying water
Clean and purified water is free from germs and fit for drinking
because it is odourless,tasteless,
colourless and transparent.
If water lacks these properties,it is polluted or impure.polluted or
Impure water can be treated and
made pure by applying the
following methods such as:

1.Filtration
2.Use of chemical
3.Boiling
4.Sieving
5.Distillation

1.Filtration:This is the action of
removing small particles that are
difficult to remove in liquid
(water).

2.Use of chemical:This is the
process in purification of Water
using chemical e.g alum.

3.Boiling:This is one of the method used in purifying water by removing impure substances
from a liquid(water) through
boiling.

4.Sieving:This is another method of seperating fine or bigger
particles from a liquid(water) by
using a sieve

5.Distillation:This is a method of
purifying a liquid(water) by a
process of heating a liquid and cooling it.
