The Nigerian National Anthem :
The Nigerian National Anthem is a form of allegiance and support to uphold the Nation integrity . unity or peace where ever we may find ourselves . The National Anthem is sung at the beginning of any important National events and most especially when our national football team ( The Super Eagles ) is taking part in any international football match .The National Anthem represents and reminds every Nigerian the past sacrifice of our past heroes that must not be in vain .It written by ASP Emmanuel Odiase and composed into song by Prof. Akin Bula in 1998 during the tenure of Olusegun Obasanjo .
Arise, O compatriots, Nigeria’s call obey
To serve our fatherland
With love and strength and faith
The labor of our heroes past
Shall never be in vain
To serve with heart and might
One nation bound in freedom, peace, and unity.
Oh God of creation, direct our noble cause
Guide our leaders right
Help our youth and truth to know
In love and honesty to grow
And living just and true
Great lofty heights attain
To build a nation where peace
And justice shall reign.
