What is Employment ?

Employment is a situation whereby people that are qualified , willing and able to work are able to get a befitting job to do . Someone that is employed  presently has a job that he or she is doing for now .

What is Unemployment ? 

Unemployment is a situation whereby someone that is qualified and willing to work cannot get a befitting job to do . He or she has nothing doing for now that could fetch him or her income

What is Under-employment ?

Under-employment simply refers to the situation whereby someone is employed but he or she is not working with all of his or her potentials because he or she can do more than the present situation of job or employment that he or she has found himself or herself . Just like in Nigeria and most especially in Lagos state  , most University graduates are either motor bike riders ( OKADA RIDER ) Danfo bus rider or nursery school class teacher

 

What Are The Causes Of Unemployment 

  • Our faulty educational system which makes us to be job seekers rather than job creators
  • Over dependency on paper qualification of prospective job seeker rather than skill acquisition and   development .
  • Concentration of industries in some parts of the country like more companies are sited in the major cities there by making people in the rural area to be unemployed
  • Population explosions will  make more people to fall within the dependency ratio of the population
  • Some unemployment are seasonal because some jobs are based on seasons like people that work in the road construction industries may be unemployed during raining season
  • Change in Technology and inability of individuals to meet up with the rapid changes in technologyOther Causes of Unemployment may also be
