Parents Please Note That National Common Entrance Is Different From State Exams Or Model College Exams

Good Day Everyone . Please kindly note that state common entrance is different from Federal common.

State common entrance is owned and set by state government eg Lagos State, Ogun state etc.

And is meant for those that wanted to go-to Model Schools like Lagos State model college Badore in Ajah, ikorodu etc.

While federal common entrance is for those going to Unity School like Queens college, Kings college, federal government college ijanikin etc.

Subjects to be done are Mathematics, English, general paper, quantitative, verbal, social studies, Science and vocational studies.

Please note that if your child is either in primary 5 or primary 6, he or she is entitled to sit for any of the following entrance examination

1. National Common Entrance : This is the examination that your child will be sit for if you want him or her to go to Kings College, Queens college or any other federal government Unity school. 2. Lagos State Placement Examination : This is the type of examination that your child will write if you want him or her to attend any of the sate owned secondary school in Lagos state. Examples of such school on Lagos Island are Eko Akete junior high school, king Ado Junior High school, Èbúté Elefun secondary school. 3. Lagos State Model College : The forms for this entrance examination is only sold at Lagos State Examination Board at iyana ipaja. Parents can go to the account office of the board with evidence of residence in Lagos state (LASRA) or evidence of tax payment or tax clearance. Pupils that write this Entrance Examination and are successful will be privileged to be admitted into one of Lagos State Model Colleges like Evan Adelaja in Bariga, Lagos state model college ikorodu etc Lagos State Model Colleges   Day or Boarding 
4. Private secondary schools : Pupil that are their terminal classes like basic 5 or Basic 6 can also approach any of the private secondary schools on the island or any where to further their education. Examples are private schools on the island are Tollywood college, Maryan college, etc
