Most tools do not have engines and do not need electricity or batteries to function.

Farm tools are simple machines that are used by farmers on their farms to make their job easier, neater and faster.

Simple Farm Carrying Tools are tools used by farmers to carry farm produce or fertilizer from one place to another.

Examples Simple Farm Carrying Tools are

  3. Wheel Barrow
  4. Watering can

 

Uses of Simple Farm Carrying Tools

1. Basket: À basket is woven with palm fonds and they always have holes. Baskets are very useful for farmers because they use the basket to carry farm items like oranges, mangoes, banana etc. Basket is good for carrying farms produce

 

2. Head pan: The Head pan is made of pan with two handles for easy listing. The Head pan is used for carrying fertilizer, soil, sand, crops and other farms materials or tools.

3. Wheelbarrow : Wheelbarrow is used for carrying crops, fertilizer, soil and other farms materials or tools from one place to another.

4. Watering can: Watering can is used to water plants by farmers

 

Digging Farm Tools

Cutlass : Cutlass is used for felling trees and it is also used for digging small holes for planting Crops like maize or cassava

Hoe : Hoe is used for making ridges and digging for planting

Spade : Spade is used by farmers for packing sand and fertilizer. Spade can also be used for digging

Shovel : Shovel is used by farmers for packing sand and fertilizer. Spade can also be used for digging

Digger : Digger is used to dig bigger holes. Digger is also a used to remove or dig out stump of trees.

Hand trowel : The hand trowel is a small tool with a wooden handle and a flat metallic blade that is used for moving young seeding from nursery to permanent site. The hand trowel is used to dig small hole before putting the young plant and planting them again
