Pollution means to make unfit for human’s use . To pollution means to defile , to contaminate or to adulterate . Pollution means to make natural resources like land , water or air unfit and unsafe for man’s use

What is Land Pollution ?

Land pollution occurs when land is littered with rubbish like refuse , carcass or pieces of paper

Causes Of Land Pollution 

  • Refuse
  • Pieces of paper
  • Dirt
  • Broken bottles
  • Empty plastic bottles
  • Use Polythene bags

 

What is Air Pollution ?

Air pollution means to defile or make air unsafe for man’s use

Causes of Air Pollution 

  • Smoke from burning wood
  • Smoke from burning bush
  • Smoke from cigarettes
  •  Smoke from exhaust pipe of vehicles
  • Harmful chemical
  • Tear gas
  • Sound and smoke from generator

 

What are the effects of Pollution 

  • Air pollution may lead to respiratory diseases
  • Land pollutants like refuse makes our surroundings and environments to become an eye sore if they are not clean in good time
  • Used plastic bottles block the drainage system which may cause flooding during the raining season
  •  Tear gas may irritate the eyes and cause eye discomfort
  • Chemicals kill aquatic animals
