Content :
INPUT DEVICES:
Input devices are used to enter data information such as text, pictures, and sound into the computer.
Examples of input devices are:
- Keyboard
- Mouse
- Microphone
- Webcam
- Joystick
- Scanner, etc.
OUTPUT DEVICES:
Output devices are used to transfer data information such as text, pictures, and sound from the computer to the outside world.
Examples of Output devices are:
- Monitor
- Printer
- Speakers
- Plotter
- Headphone, etc.
EVALUATION:
- What are input devices?
- State four examples of input devices.
- What are output devices?
- State four examples of output devices
Presentation:
Step 1: Introduction (5 minutes)
- Greet the students and briefly review the previous lesson.
- Explain that today’s lesson is about input and output devices, which are important parts of a computer.
Step 2: Main Lesson (25 minutes)
- Discuss what input devices are. Emphasize that they help us put information INTO the computer, like typing on a keyboard.
- List examples of input devices: Keyboard, Mouse, Microphone, Webcam, Joystick, Scanner.
- Explain that output devices help us get information OUT of the computer, like seeing pictures on a monitor.
- List examples of output devices: Monitor, Printer, Speakers, Plotter, Headphone.
- Show pictures of these devices and ask students to identify them.
Step 3: Activity (5 minutes)
- Show a picture of a computer and ask students to point out input and output devices on it.
- Discuss how these devices make the computer useful.
Teacher’s Activities:
- Lead the discussion and define key terms.
- Show pictures to help students recognize devices.
- Encourage questions and participation.
Learners’ Activities:
- Listen and observe attentively.
- Participate by identifying devices.
- Ask questions to clarify their understanding.
Evaluation (5 minutes):
- Ask questions to check understanding:
- What are input devices?
- State four examples of input devices.
- What are output devices?
- State four examples of output devices.
- Engage students in a brief discussion to share their answers.
