Adjectival Phrases and Clauses are both group of words that are collectively used to describe the subject of the sentence.

 

Note: Adjectival clauses have both a subject and a verb the descriptive text while Adjectival Phrases do not.

 

Examples of Adjectival Phrases are

(1) The very small kitten

(2) The cost of the car

(3) The man covered with sweat

(4) Something in the corner

(5) The big bag under the blanket

 

Examples of Adjectival clauses

(1) The very small kitten jumped at the dog.

(2) The cost of the car was very too high.

(3) The man covered with sweat trugged his way home.

(4) Something in the corner was moving.

(5) The big bag under the blanket is coming towards me.
