- Bad roads with potholes
- Corruption of the part of some enforcement officers
- Corruption on the part of some of the road users
- Ignorance on the part of the road users
- Illiteracy or inability on the parts of the road users as they fail to understand the meaning of some of these road rules and regulations
- Some vehicles are not road worthy and totally in bad conditions
- Total disregard or negligence to road rules and regulations by some road users
- Bad weather conditions most especially during the periods of heavy rainfall
- Broken down vehicles that are left in the middle of the road is also a problem of traffic Regulations in Nigeria
