Content :

Energy is the ability or strength to do work. It is the enablement to push or pull or exert pressure on things. It the power that you have to do your work.

 

Uses of Energy.

1. We need energy to play football 

2.we need energy to do our homework 

3. We need energy to run up and down 

4. We need energy to wash plates 

5. Heat energy is used to cook

7. Heat energy is needed to sun dry our clothes 

8. Mechanical energy makes our vehicles to move 

9. Electrical Enegy is used to power on most of our electrical gadgets at home 

10. FOOD that is eaten is burnt down during chemical reaction in our body and these chemical energy is used up by our body

 

 

 

Types of Energy 

1. Solar (sun) energy eg from sun 

2. Light enegy eg torch light, electric bulb

3. Electrical energy eg PHCH, Ikeja DISCO

4. Mechanical energy eg machines, human pull or push 

5. Heat energy eg light, firewood, 

6. Sound energy eg radio, speaker
