Content 

 

Uses of Energy 

1. Solar energy helps plant to manufacture their food. The process is known as photosynthesis. 
2. Sun is the source of light during the day 
3. Heat energy Tha is generated by sunlight is used to dry up our wet clothes when we spread them in the sun to dry 
4. Heat energy that is produced by firewood is used to roast, preserve or prepare food like roasted plantain {booli} roasted fish (ẹja yíyàn) roasted Yam (ìṣù sísun) etc
5. Heat energy that is produced by electric iron is used to press our clothes to make the clothes look neater and smarter on us when we wear them 
6. Electrical energy is used to power on our pumping machines at home so that we can have water in our flats 
7. Electrical power is used to power on our air conditioner (ac) when there is heat 
8. Electrical power is used to power on our TV at homes
9. Chemical energy is petrol is used up by cars to make them move from one place to another 
10. Batteries in radios convert electrical power to sound energy 

 

Presentation 

The topic is presented step by step 

Step 1. The class teacher revises the previous topics 

Step 2. He introduces the new topic 

Step 3. He allows the pupils to give their own examples and he corrects them when the needs arise
